Thyme has a sharp, almost minty flavour and some earthy floral hints with a certain sweetness to it and a slightly peppery aftertaste. It pairs highly well with oregano, basil, rosemary, cardamon, coriander, parsley, cumin and ginger. It is best used in soups, sauces and braises, adding an entirely new layer of flavor to anything it touches.
